Status Announcements
August 7, 2019 - WDOT replaced NetR9 receiver with new Trimle Alloy receiver.
May 29, 2019 - Trimble GPSBase (version 2.600) software taken out of service due to improved functionality of
"FTP Push" that is now contained within the NetR9 receiver. Raw GPS data for post-processing
now provided in Receiver Independent Exchange Format (RINEX) V2.11, not in other proprietary formats. RINEX V2.11
files include Observables & Ephemeris.
January 8, 2019 - In accordance with terms of WISCORS Cooperative Agreement No. 25-25-02-2008, WISDOT replaced
City of Madison owned NetR5 with a new WISDOT owned NetR9 receiver.
August 26, 2016 - The software that controls the GPS base station has been upgraded
to Trimble's GPSBase (version 2.600).
June 12 to 14, 2007 - Correction data was not being logged or sent to our web server from 6:00 AM June 12th to
9:00 AM June 14th due to a configuration problem with the computer at the base station.
June 12, 2007 - The base station was down from approximately 6:45 AM until 9:15 AM due to a power failure.
June 11, 2007 - Users can now view lists of correction data files stored on the server and
manually download individual files.
April 20, 2007 - The software that controls GPS base station upgraded
to Trimble's GPSBase (version 2.500). Correction data will only be available in DAT
and Rinex formats. SSF and Almanac files are no longer produced. We are working to make
the new correction data files accessable over the internet and hope to restore this service
in the near future. Real-time correction data is still being broadcast in RTCM + RTK (version 2.2),
and CMR+ formats.
August 29, 2006 - The 100 watt booster amplifier for the transmitter is
out of service. A new booster amp has been ordered. Until the new amp is
received, we will be broadcasting correction data with the 25 watt
Trimble transmitter only. The coverage area will be significantly reduced.
September 06, 2005 - The
reference position of this base station was changed at 8:10 AM (CDT).
August 04, 2003 - Retention period for downloadable data files
increased from 15 days to 21 days for the hourly files and from
90 days to 180 days for the daily files.
January 14, 2003 - Reference
position revised based on high-order control survey by Ayres Associates.
August 21, 2002 - Reference position calculated using OPUS.
Correction files available for download on internet.
